Introduction
In many parts of South Sudan, the simple act of accessing clean water is a daily challenge. Women and children walk long distances under the scorching sun, often returning with water that’s unsafe for drinking. At Mission Trust Aid, we believe clean water is not a luxury—it’s a human right.
The Reality on the Ground
In the counties of Uror, Nyirol, and Fangak, residents depend on hand-dug wells or seasonal swamps. This not only puts their health at risk but also robs children of valuable time they could spend in school.
But hope is rising from the ground—literally.
Our Water Project in Action
Through our WASH program, Mission Trust Aid has:
- Drilled and rehabilitated 5+ clean water points across remote areas
- Trained community water management committees to ensure sustainability
- Promoted hygiene education in schools and households to prevent disease
Each borehole now serves hundreds of people daily, reducing waterborne illnesses and freeing up time for education and livelihoods.
Real People, Real Stories
Mary, a mother of four in Nyirol County, used to wake at 5 AM to fetch water. “Sometimes we would fall sick from drinking what we could find,” she shared. “Now, we drink clean water right in our village. My children are healthier. I have time to grow vegetables.”
Stories like Mary’s are not isolated. They reflect a community’s transformation—from surviving to thriving.
Your Role in This Journey
Every drop counts, and so does every donation.
With donation, we can provide access to clean water for one person for a year.
With your donation, we can drill a new water point that changes a village forever.
Closing Thoughts
Clean water changes everything: health, education, dignity, and hope.
At Mission Trust Aid, we’re not just digging wells—we’re restoring futures. And we invite you to be a part of it.
Together, let’s bring clean water to life.
